"Colors for the Cross

Hey,
I listened to Pastor Fred's message and my good light is gonna stay on   LOLOLOL.  No more bad light!!!
A couple of other things that went on that you might want to add to your list.

1. Karen and Gene Kite went to McDonald's on Saturday night to eat.  When they were getting back on the bike a car was parked next to the bike with a man, woman and child in it.  They spoke to the people in the car and found out that the couple were about to split up, (lots of problems, drugs, etc).  Karen and Gene witnessed to them and prayed with them.  The couple and child then followed them back to CFC where Karen gathered up some other prayer warriors to have prayer with them again.  The little boy was blessed also, he really likes bikes and got to sit on Gene's and look around at all of the others.

2.  A lady came through the gate to give blood.  She said that she was an evacuee from New Orleans and had lost everything and felt compelled to give blood  After she went up to give blood, the folks at the entrance gate took up a love offering and went and found her and gave it to her.  She really didn't want to take it but they insisted.  When she came back through the gate she stopped  to thank every one and tried to give back the money.  When no one would take it she said that she was going to go to Walmart  to buy water with it and send the water back to New Orleans.  How awesome is that!

What is the Purpose(s) of this Christian Bike Rally?

Bring others to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Minister to the needs of others as they arise.

Unify brothers and sisters in Christ.

Grow spiritually.

Bonus – Ride and fellowship with other believers.

Blessings Witnessed

1. Servant’s heart displayed by many- All the security workers seemed to be very involved and active.  They kept up with what was going on and kept us informed when they had some concerns.  I saw many others pitching in wherever they could.  Several came to me and said “What can I do to help?”  This was the BEST part of my weekend. As the tasks that unfolded and the questions that were asked seemed to be endless.

2. Compassion for others – Don Wren met a lady who had just found out she had cancer.  She didn’t appear to be well to do financially, but yet wanted to donate to CFC and she did. She gave $5.

3. Patience, kindness, and tolerance – Brother Chester Smith and his wife were in a mishap on their bike. They did go down with a few bruises and scrapes but nothing serious. A turn was missed and the ride leader made a sudden stop.  (This was a mistake, not to be done again and the ride leader realized their mistake, secured the area, made sure everyone was okay, apologized and got everyone back to fairgrounds safely.) Chester and his wife hold no hard feelings, understanding that mistakes and accidents happen.  Same Christian love was shown by Chilli and Kim Chlebek as their bike was the one in front that was bumped.  (New HD, just picked up by Chilli last week.)  They had a minor scrape to Kim’s arm and a couple of minor ticks to bike.

4. Again same patience, kindness and tolerance show by Doug and Barbara Hawkins when a vendor brushed and knocked over their son-in-law’s bike.  Windshield broken into several pieces, one peg broke, tag bent, and several nicks, scratches.

5. Rush of emotions and blessings expressed by the band Road to Revelation.  Lead guitarist came to me Saturday morning (they played Friday night) and shared what emotions he had gone through the last 24 hours.  They have been trying to get their Christian band off the ground for 4 years and Satan has fought them tooth and nail.  The last 2 challenges – he had major shoulder surgery 6 weeks before Labor Day weekend.  I was surprised he could play at all. The whole band had be torn apart by various sins over the years and the current members had only a few weeks to pull it together before playing last Friday night.  As he was finishing his testi! mony, the rest of band came over and talked as well. It was very obvious they were thankful to be a part of this Godly event.

6. KICK Team – Mark Schmetzer has told me frequently that these karate tournament kids LOVE to come to CFC.  They are always very excited to here.

7. Outreach, servant’s heart, testimony – Bike frame broke on a brother’s bike from out of state.  Don, Doug, Tommy and others followed through on locating a welder and getting the bike to his shop for repairs.  The bike’s owner, I’m sorry his name leaves me at the moment, talked to me Sunday after the worship service and said that he was able to spend time with the welder who is a newly saved Christian.  He share that this time with the welder was his reason for coming to CFC. He was sure it was all of God’s doing.

8. Blessings by Ridgecrest Baptist Church children’s ministry and the Creative Vision Dance Team.  Wonderful as always.

9. Warmed heart to see and hear Ralph and Barbara Lawson singing and playing again. What a wonderful sight!

10. Positive feedback from bikers and non-bikers new to this event “This is good, this is REALLY good”.

11. Entertainment at its finest – Alicia Happoldt wrestling around in the hay stack for a “tater”. Great to see her so happy all weekend.

12. Happiest Guy at CFC – Robert “Priceless” Happoldt.  His life has taken such a drastic turn for the GOod.   He LOVES his new nickname given to him by his wife Alicia.  “Priceless”   And that is what God thinks of us all--- priceless.

13. B

13. Best reassuring smile – Susan, my fiancée.  Every time I’d have 14 questions to answer and 3 tasks to do I’d look over and see that beautiful smile and then know it’d all be okay. LOL

14. Most persistent request for Christmas present – Tanya Jamieson. She wants a HUGE drum set like Road for Revelation has.

15. Worst Memory – Brother Rob Richey left his wife Carol at a gas station in Dothan.   She forgave him though.

16. Most loaning of property/stuff – Doug and Barbara – we used Hawks’ beautiful Kawasaki 1500 all weekend for Pastor Fred and Ester.  Used their SUV and trailer to haul broken bike to shop for frame to be welded.

17. Love for strangers – Those giving blood Saturday. Some have given often, others this was the first time (Susan), and others the second time (Tommy).

18. Coolest Vertically Challenged brother – Pastor Fred Zariczny – Is this guy a trip or what? Thanks to Fred and others like him who had the faith and boldness years ago to take that first step in serving Jesus of Nazareth through a motorcycle ministry.  What a blessing Fred and Ester are to us.

19. Only loser at CFC? – Satan

20.  Most Improved Behavior – Patty Jamieson of Heaven’s Saints Phenix City.

21. Quietest Servant – Tie between Tommy and Jason Simpler. Both were available to do whatever needed to be done, with no complains, whining etc.

22.  Other notes to come as my little brain gets rested. LOL
